The Head Golf Professional of Black Creek Club comes to Tennessee after working under Tim Mahoney and Doug Hammer for over 5 years in Scottsdale, Arizona at Talking Stick Golf Club. Todd was recently named 2011 PGA Teacher of the Year in Chattanooga following his previous awards in 2007 & 2008. The first award came only nine months after his arrival in the city. In the summer of 2009 the Chattanooga Times Free Press did a series of 20 instructional video shorts with Todd on www.timesfreepress.com. In addition he has been a featured instructor on both Sport South and Arizona Television's "Golf Southwest". His instructional talents and charitable contributions have also been featured on ABC News channel 15, Fox 10 and NBC 12. He also has been featured radio's ESPN AM 960 "Positive Side of Sports" and on morning drive time radio KDUS AM 1060. As an instructor, he is heavily involved in all of the summer junior camps. He also has an extensive list of juniors who come for both private and group instruction. In addition he gives lessons to many adults and has infinite patience for beginners. His teaching philosophy is very simple: "All students' swing styles and learning curves are unique, so they should be taught that way."
"My purpose as a golf instructor will be to identify the student's history, goals, commitment level and learning style. Armed with this knowledge I will develop a time-tested plan of action for long-term, continuous improvement of the student's skills and overall enjoyment for the game. This plan will be unique to the student's learning style, physical abilities and commitment time. In my dedication to teaching the game I will strive to separate my instruction from others by continuous professional growth through lifetime educational studies.
