The Head Golf Professional of Black Creek Club comes to Tennessee after working under Tim Mahoney and Doug Hammer for over 5 years in Scottsdale, Arizona at Talking Stick Golf Club. For the second year in a row, Todd was named PGA Teacher of the Year in Chattanooga (2007 & 2008). The first award came after only nine months of being in the city. In 2009, his list of amateurs are the who's who in area golf and have won just about everything in sight. In the summer of 2009 the Chattanooga Times Free Press did a series of 20 instructional video shorts with Todd on www.timesfreepress.com. In addition he has been a featured instructor on both Sport South and Arizona Television's "Golf Southwest". His instructional talents and charitable contributions have also been featured on ABC News channel 15, Fox 10 and NBC 12. He also has been featured radio's ESPN AM 960 "Positive Side of Sports" and on morning drive time radio KDUS AM 1060. As an instructor, Todd is heavily involved in all of the summer junior camps. He also has an extensive list of juniors who come for both private and group instruction. Todd also gives lessons to many adults and has infinite patience for beginners. His teaching philosophy is very simple: "All students' swing styles and learning curves are unique, so they should be taught that way."

These goals include developing a time-tested plan of action for long-term, continuous improvement of the student's skills and overall enjoyment for the game. Create a plan of action unique to the student's learning style, physical abilities and commitment time. Finally, to strive to separate my instruction from others by continuous professional growth through lifetime eductional studies. All of these goals are in an effort to help others realize their fullest potential driven by my relentless passion for the game of golf."

BRETT SLETTEN

After working with some of the top instructors in ESPN golf schools as well as Talking Stick Golf Club, Brett brings a strong understanding of swing plane and ball flight to Black Creek. Along with running the Black Creek Junior Golf Program, Brett has also worked as an instructor for Baylor School's summer camps and the Women's Self Care Ladies Clinic. Having worked with all age groups and skill levels in the past, he understands that everyone has a different learning style. There is no "Perfect Swing" for everyone, but everyone has the ability to improve on their natural motion. Brett's goal as an instructor is to achieve "Consistent, repetitive impact".
